Short answer: An enterprise mail solution from SmarterTools called SmarterMail, with web-based email included in every package. The number of mailboxes depends on your package; each account gets 200 MB, within a package total of 1 GB (Basic), 2 GB (Standard) or 3 GB (Advanced). VPS customers get their own SmarterMail installation, sized to the VPS.
Applies to: All Infosaic web hosting packages · VPS and dedicated hosting
Email is included with hosting rather than bought separately, and it is a full business mail system rather than a token mailbox — webmail, mail programs, phones, calendars and contacts all work against it.
What varies between packages is how many mailboxes you get and how much space they share. What does not vary is the system itself.
What you get

SmarterMail is an enterprise-level mail solution, and web-based email is included with every package. You can use it entirely through the browser at webmail.infosaic.com, or configure it in a mail program — Outlook, a smartphone’s built-in mail app, or anything else that speaks POP3 or IMAP.
Synchronisation is built in, so Outlook calendars and contacts can be kept in step with the mail system rather than living only on one machine.
There is a Help link inside webmail once you are signed in, which covers the interface in more detail than is worth repeating here.
Mailboxes and space by package

The number of email accounts varies by package. Each account gets 200 MB, and all the accounts on a package share a total:
- Basic Hosting — 1 GB in total for all email accounts combined.
- Standard Hosting — 2 GB in total.
- Advanced Hosting — 3 GB in total.
- VPS Hosting — its own SmarterMail installation, with space based on the VPS specification.
If you need more space than the shared packages allow, upgrading to a VPS or dedicated solution with its own mail system is the recommended route rather than repeatedly asking for increases.
If mail matters more to you than the website does, size the package on the mailboxes. It is the allowance people outgrow first, and moving later is more disruptive than choosing correctly now.
Getting started with it

- Create the addresses you need — covered in the article on setting up an email address.
- Sign in to webmail at webmail.infosaic.com with the full address and password, to check it works.
- Set up your computer and phone using mail.infosaic.com as both incoming and outgoing server.
- Choose your spam setting, so marked mail goes where you want it.
That order matters: confirming the mailbox works in webmail before configuring three devices saves a lot of guessing if something is wrong.
