Short answer: A mixed system. It is partly designed in-house and integrated with WebsitePanel. You reach it at controlpanel.infosaic.com, and it is where account details, billing, email, web server settings and support tickets all live.
Applies to: All Infosaic web hosting accounts
This question usually comes from someone comparing hosts, or from a developer who wants to know what they will be working in before they commit.
The answer is that it is not one off-the-shelf panel. Part of it is built in-house and part of it is WebsitePanel, integrated together into a single interface.
What that means in practice

If you have used WebsitePanel before, the web server administration sections will be familiar — default documents, virtual directories, custom error pages, application settings and the rest work the way you would expect.
The parts around it — account management, billing, contact details, support tickets — are ours. That is the practical benefit of the arrangement: the account side is joined up with our own systems, so an invoice you pay or a ticket you raise reaches the right place immediately rather than passing through a separate billing product.
Everything is in one place at controlpanel.infosaic.com, so there is no second system to sign in to.
What you can do in it

- Account management — contact details and account settings.
- Billing — transaction history, paying open invoices, and automatic payment setup.
- Email management — mailboxes, spam control and domain email settings.
- Web server administration — default documents, custom error pages, virtual directories, home folder and security settings, extensions, and stopping or starting your site.
- File management — uploading and unzipping site files through the Advanced File Manager.
- Support — raising a ticket, which is the fastest route to us because it arrives attached to your account.
Domains are the one thing managed elsewhere: domains registered through us are administered at mydomain.infosaic.com, and reseller accounts at www.infosaicdomains.com.
Three addresses, three jobs. controlpanel.infosaic.com for hosting and billing, mydomain.infosaic.com for domains, webmail.infosaic.com for email. Bookmark all three — trying to do one job in the wrong panel is the commonest source of confusion.
Finding your way around it the first time

The panel is organised by subject rather than by how often you will use it, so the first visit can feel busier than it needs to. In practice most people only ever touch four areas.
- Account Management — your contact details. Worth checking on the first visit and then once a year.
- Billing Management — invoices, transaction history and the card on file.
- Email Management — mailboxes and spam settings.
- Web Server Administration — everything to do with how the site is served.
Everything else is either a detail inside one of those or something you will be pointed at by a support reply. If you are looking for something and cannot find it, it is usually under Web Server Administration.
Does the control panel matter when choosing a host?

Less than people expect. A control panel is something you visit occasionally — to pay an invoice, add a mailbox, change a setting — and then close again. Day to day you work in your development tool, your mail program and your browser, none of which care what the panel is.
What does matter is whether the things you need are actually there and whether the account side is joined up. Being able to raise a ticket that already knows which account and which server you are talking about saves more time over a year than any interface refinement.
If you are moving from another host and are used to a particular panel, the transition is usually shorter than expected: the web server settings are named much as they are anywhere else, because they are the same underlying Windows settings.
