Short answer: Add your Infosaic mail account to the phone itself, rather than syncing through a third program. On both Android and iPhone, adding the account under the device’s mail or accounts settings normally brings the calendar and contacts across with the mail, and keeps them in step in both directions. Then make sure the phone’s calendar app is set to display that account.
Applies to: Infosaic web hosting email · Android and iPhone · Outlook users
The reliable way to get your appointments onto your phone is to give the phone the account directly. Everything then syncs against the same mailbox, and there is no extra program in the middle to break.
Approaches that route a calendar through a third service tend to work until one of the two ends changes something, which is why the direct route is worth the five minutes.
Add the account to your phone

- Open your phone’s Settings, then Accounts (on Android) or Mail → Accounts (on iPhone and iPad).
- Add a new account and choose the option for a standard mail account rather than a named provider.
- Enter your full email address and password.
- Use mail.infosaic.com as both the incoming and outgoing server if you are asked.
- When the account is added, make sure Calendars and Contacts are switched on for it, not just Mail.
That last step is the one people miss. The account is added successfully, mail arrives, and the calendar stays empty because only Mail was enabled.
Make sure the calendar is actually displayed

A phone can hold several calendars at once — the account you have just added, a personal one, sometimes a work one — and the calendar app chooses which to show.
Open the calendar app, find its settings or its list of calendars, and confirm the Infosaic account is ticked. If appointments exist in webmail but not on the phone, this is usually why.
It also matters which calendar new appointments are saved to. If your phone defaults to a personal calendar, anything you add on the move will not appear in webmail. Set the default deliberately.
Check the time zone on both ends. A calendar that syncs correctly but shows everything an hour out is almost always a time zone mismatch between the phone and the account, not a synchronisation fault.
If you keep your calendar in Outlook

If Outlook on your computer is where the calendar really lives, sync Outlook with the mail system first, using the client utility described in the article on syncing with Outlook. Once Outlook and the server agree, the phone picks up the same calendar automatically because it is reading the same account.
Doing it the other way round — syncing the phone to Outlook directly, or through a third service — creates two paths to the same data, and duplicate appointments follow.
One account, one route, in both directions. That is the arrangement that stays working.
If appointments are missing or duplicated
- Nothing appears. Calendars are not enabled for the account, or the calendar app is not displaying it.
- New appointments do not reach webmail. They are being saved to a different calendar on the phone. Change the default.
- Everything is duplicated. The calendar is arriving by two routes — remove one of them.
- Times are wrong by a fixed number of hours. Time zone mismatch.
- It stopped after a phone update. Remove the account from the phone and add it again; it is quicker than diagnosing it.
If it still will not sync, open a ticket from your control panel and tell us the phone, the account and what you have tried.
